What’s Next?

 

Engage: Our VR Platform 

Access on a Desktop Computer: 

  1. Ensure that your computer meets the minimum hardware requirements to run Engage. 
  2. Download the Engage App onto your computer here and install it. 
  3. Log in with your Engage credentials. Remember to check the “Remember Me” checkbox to save your login information. 

Access on a Meta Quest VR Headset Managed by Optima Academy Online: 

  1. Ensure your headset is connected to Wi-Fi. If you encounter Wi-Fi issues, move closer to your router and try again. 
  2. Open the Engage app on your VR headset. 
  3. Log in with your Engage credentials. If not saved, remember to click the “Remember Me” checkbox. 

VR Headset and Engage Credentials: 

If you haven’t received your child(ren)’s Engage credentials or are still awaiting your VR headset, please email the Helpdesk at support@optimaed.com. Be sure to mention your specific issue: whether you have not received your Engage credentials or you have not received your VR headset from us. 

Recommended Care of Equipment: 

To ensure your VR headset remains in optimal condition, we recommend: 

  • Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures.
  • Do not allow direct sunlight on the headset lenses.
  • Store it in a clean, dry place.
  • Clean the lenses and exterior gently with a microfiber cloth.
  • Use a protective case when not in use. 

Canvas: Our Learning Management System

Canvas Access: 

  1. Visit Canvas. 
  2. Log in with your Canvas credentials. 

For those without Canvas access, please email the Helpdesk at support@optimaed.com. Be sure to mention that you have not received your Canvas credentials. 

Support and Guidance 

Our team is here to provide support and guidance, ensuring your child(ren) feel prepared for the academic year ahead. Should you have questions, concerns, or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. 

Tech Help Hours: 

During the school year, our tech help hours are available Monday through Thursday from 9-10am ET and 2-3pm ET. Prior to the start of the school year, we offer social hours and tech support. These dates will be provided in the school newsletter.
