OAO’s On-Demand Offerings
Optima Academy Online offers two different course delivery models, Live and On-Demand. The goal of these two models is to provide students with the learning structure that best supports their education journey and needs.
Our on-demand and self-paced courses cater to students who need or value additional flexibility in their schedules. In this model, students can access pre-recorded lessons and complete assignments at their own pace, with teachers available during office hours and via email for additional support.
On-Demand students can still benefit through OAO’s active community with clubs, social hours, and one-on-one academic support.

Our on-demand courses are designed for self-directed learners who appreciate the flexibility and convenience of learning at their own pace. These courses are perfect for individuals who thrive in independent study environments and can navigate course materials without the structure of traditional classroom settings. The Ideal Student for On-Demand Courses
- Prefers to learn at their own pace: On-demand students can work and their own pace, spending more time on the tough concepts and breezing through the easy ones.
- Needs or desires flexibility: On-demand students can access lectures, assignments, and resources anytime, anywhere. This gives students the freedom and flexibility to set their own schedule, working through course material as they see fit.
- Responsible & independent learner: Although on-demand students can complete coursework on their own timeline, students must be committed to completing material before deadlines. Students should also be proficient independent learners.
- Needs or wants to balance learning with other commitments: Our on-demand courses afford students extra time to juggle school, work, and personal life while still being involved in an active and robust online learning community.
